  • Oversee the Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and liaise with service providers, legal team, and client to ensure the contracts fulfill the legal requirements as stipulated by Kenyan law
  • I worked with the staff appointed, training and setting up procedures for each department
  • I was also involved with the following:
  • Launched the biggest shopping centre in East Africa, Garden City Mall in Nairobi, Kenya
  • Responsible for the overall running / managing of Garden City Mall, a mixed use development which includes a shopping centre, and residential for phase 1
  • Presently the office precinct is being constructed as well as phase 2 of the residential
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures for all departments as well as putting reporting structures and the reporting management pack for the owners in place
  • Manage / liaise with all contractors to ensure that the SLA’s are attained
  • Work very closely with the local and national authorities to ensure the safety of the shopping centre due to the threat of terrorism in Kenya
  • Select and train emergency response team for both terrorist attack as well as any other emergency requirement
  • Develop and implement “house rules” for tenants – points not covered in lease agreements
  • Train/ upskill staff in service delivery and general mall practices
