Christopher Chimaobi Onyeneke teaches in the Urban Planning prgrammes at both undergraduate and postgraduate at Imo State University Owerri, Nigeria. He lectures in the areas of Urban sociology, Social change and planning, Planning Studio Designs, Environmental Impact Assessment, Understanding Cities of The Global South and Research methods (Qualitative and Quantitative). His research and career goals focus on Urban social issues since his undergraduate studies. His research interest on social change and crime in cities of the global south, to find how Africa embraces the Fourth Industrial Revolution in its response to crime, while also taking cognizance of the social impacts it could have. Advocating for others' rights has also shown his ability to embrace socio-cultural diversity. This is reflected in the types of projects he takes interest in; those that promote socio-spatial justice, inclusion, and fairness. These are some of the critical issues that he has been exposed to in the African continent, having lived in Nigeria and South Africa.
