More About Me

I can still remember my first day of work clear as day. This was about 6 years ago, I picture myself as a young, unsure and extremely timid 10th grader. I had initially taken this weekend job to help myself financially, as my parents could not at the time. At the end of my long, nerve racking first day I was handed 7 crisp R100 notes, I can still remember how the notes felt in my hand. It felt like freedom. After that day I knew I had to work extremely hard and become the best I possibly could, it was my ticket to a better a life for myself and I knew that. After finishing grade 10 and having become a bit more comfortable in the industry, I started working full time at 16 years old. Since then I have grown immensely, every part of me. My confidence, my self worth and my fundamental ethics as a person have been carefully and skillfully cultivated for the past 6 year in the industry. The most surprising change within myself, was the love I was beginning to develop for the industry itself. The passion I began to feel when executing my job duties well, a warm and proud feeling. It was something I never expected to experience as a 16 year old, but it was a monumental realization in my life. I strive to work hard and to continually move forward, being stagnant has never resonated with me. I want to prove myself to all my loved ones, my family and most importantly, to myself.
