I started out in the ICT industry with a passion for connecting people and a curiosity for how technology works. My first role was in sales, where I quickly learned the importance of listening to clients and understanding their real needs. As time went on, I found myself drawn to the technical side, wanting not just to sell solutions, but to truly understand how they worked. Over the years, I’ve grown into someone who can speak both the language of the customer and the language of tech. This journey has taught me the value of patience, adaptability, and always staying curious. It’s been a rewarding path, and continues to be as the world of internet solutions is rapidly and constantly evolving, becoming better and fascinating prospective clients which makes my job very satisfying and I will continue to broaden my career in this industry.

  • Generating new business was my main aim at Echo through cold calling and networking through the African continent mainly (South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria).
  • Work closely with the solutions architects to formulate a solid solution along with constructing schematic diagrams to encompass a holistic, tailored landscape for their company.
  • Facilitate internet service providers in various countries to allow necessary networks of interconnected devices and the technology that enables communication between the devices and the cloud.
  • Network perimeter security was a top priority and weekly training and certifications was mandatory.

  • Working for Vox was a real eye opener of how quickly this world is evolving technologically. The costs of hosting a client's data in the cloud is very inexpensive from a capex perspective and I find many business owners are familiarizing themselves with this.
  • Business Development: Identifying and securing new business opportunities, especially in the corporate and SME sector by persistent cold calling and assertive foot canvassing.
  • Client Relationships: Managing existing client relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction was the priority at all times and in all areas of their landscape that VOX was involved in.
  • Sales Targets: Achieving and exceeding sales targets for different product and service stacks. This sits at the heart of your KPI and failure to achieve these targets was not an option.
