I managed the Department of Ancient Studies’ social media accounts, focusing on advertising and marketing upcoming seminar presentations and inter-university collaborations. I worked alongside the Head of Department as an administrative assistant advertising events and departmental opportunities.
Whilst I was studying, I worked part-time as a waitress and wine tasting host at the Stellenzicht wine pod for 2 years. I learnt a significant amount regarding viticulture and connecting with guests. I worked private events for large groups and learnt about function management and about creating a personalized experience whilst engaging meaningfully with diverse groups of people.
I created and co-chaired my high school art club to encourage those interested in the arts but who might not be confident in their skills to take part in easy and interactive classes
In high school, I waitressed for the matrics of 2020's matric dance as well as acted as a cocktail barmaid for the evening. I also waitressed for a bursary gala event for the school which hosted the parents of the school children.
I joined Reach for a Dream which focused on hosting disadvantaged children in fun and educational environments.
Alongside the Chairman of the club, I assisted in various events, for example our visit to the Science Museum.
I was one of the volunteers in Caring for Kids which hosted a group of Khayelitsha township school children for a day of games and activities on our school's grounds
