Instrumentation Technician/ Analyser

  • Plan and execute maintenance activities, including calibration of pneumatic and electronic instruments, and troubleshooting faulty instrumentation measuring and controls.
  • Overhaul valve, level, pressure, flow, and temperature instruments, and seal impulse lines of level and flow measuring instruments.
  • Conduct blowdown of flow and level measuring instruments, and perform function and trip tests of ESD, making modifications as necessary.
  • Create daily reports of activities and generate work notifications for faults found during inspections and maintain all refinery online analyzers and provide assistance with instrumentation as needed.
  • Conduct safety devices maintenance using LPS, LPSA, and SIS procedures and implement PM (Preventative Maintenance) to check instruments and analyzers before failure, gathering data for future reference and predictive analysis.
  • Utilize Index Software to identify potential instrument or analyzer issues and MAXIMO Software to document findings, generate work orders, and manage spare parts inventory.
  • Work with the Yokogawa Distributed Control System (DCS), checking readings and trends before and after repairs.
  • Provide routine standby assistance and respond to callouts to troubleshoot plant-related instrument and analyzer faults.
  • Identify incident root causes and determine appropriate corrective actions in line with operational excellence principles.
