Summary
After I left school in 2007 I decided to embark on a career in the construction industry. I started off as a general laborer, and within two years had moved up to site foreman. It was at this time I saw a niche in the market for Health and Safety specialists, as this part of the industry was beginning to become more important in South Africa.
I obtained a SAMTRAC certificate and started my own consultancy, and found I had great success. My ability to pay attention to detail, as well as my work ethic, allowed me to perform the work of several people with relative ease.
In my 10 years of work as a consultant none of my sites was ever shut down or delayed by government inspectors, and no incident ever occurred that resulted in serious injury. These are points of great pride for me.
The past few years have left me disillusioned by my country, as the fractious political situation and rampant crime rate have become a source of stress for me. I hope you'll consider my application.
