Commenced employment as the Site Security Manager at Makaranga Garden Lodge in Kloof.

My duties consisted of:

Ensuring the Safe & Secure Environment of Guests and staff.

Supervision of onsite Security Staff

Attending of Incidents, investigation and report.

Liaison with SAPS & Emergency Services

Responsible for arranging and supervising special

events security, in particular Conferences, Weddings & Music Concerts.

Control & Audit of Fire Equipment

Manage CCTV System & Alarm Systems

Extensive Client Liaison with Hotel Patrons & Guests

Assist the General Manager, with Duty Manager Duties

Procurement and Collection of Stock

Provision of personal Guest Airport Shuttles

Reporting on Maintenance Issues and liaison with the Maintenance Team and Contractors

Liaison with Guests regarding Garden Tours

Assistance with obtaining of Business Licences, Liquor Licences

Conducted regular performance reviews, identifying areas for improvement and developing action plans to address them.

Due to a slow down in business, the Hotel restructured and on the 23rd March 2020, I was transferred to the Security Company Head Office in Hillcrest as Security Operations Manager.

Currently Manage 130 Security Guards, a Control Room and Response Teams, ensuring that risk is minimized on 23 residential / commercial sites in the Upper Highway area.

Included in these sites are Eight (8) Residential Housing Estates, ranging from 800 Units to 30 Units.

Management and deployment of guards to the said sites

Overseeing Access Control/CCTV/ Electric Fence systems on these sites

Attending to incidents as and when required

Investigations & Reports

Liaison with SAPS & attendance of weekly CPF/Police Meetings

Oversee the wellbeing of eight (8) on site patrol dogs.

Assist with Site Risk assessment compilation

Liaison with Estate Management on Estate Security matters and submission of weekly security reports.

I also manage a Community Security project, consisting of 35 farms in the Upper Highway area

Liaison with Community Neighborhood watches

• Prepared orders for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling merchandise.
• Maintained clean workspace consistently; keeping aisles clear from obstructions promoting workplace safety.
• Received and processed incoming stock to keep inventory levels accurate and up-to-date.
• Loaded and unloaded delivery trucks promptly for further distribution.
