
I am currently a social work manager at Setshabelo Family and Child Services, with a B.Soc.Sc in Social Work from the University of the Free State and 15 years of experience in social work, supervision, and management. Throughout my career, I have worked in various capacities to safeguard the rights and well-being of children. As a generic social worker at the Department of Social Development, I provided crisis intervention, statutory services, and initiated antiganstarism campains. In my supervisory and managerial roles at Setshabelo Family and Child Services, I have overseen social services, ensuring high-quality care and support for vulnerable groups. My dedication to child protection extends beyond my professional roles. I am currently pursuing specialized adoption services to further protect the rights of the children. I have developed strong facilitation skills while working as a Social Work Manager and Supervisor at Setshabelo Family and Child Services. I have led training programs , supervised teams, and developed structured interventions to support individuals and communities. My role has required me to facilitate crucial discussions, empower others through knowledge-sharing, and ensure effective service delivery. Additionally, I have completed specialized courses in Social Work Supervision and Management, and currenly persuing a post graduation in Public Management to enhance my manament skills. Also, i am training in child and youth care work, to equip myself with the necessary knowledge and understading that will allow me to supervise all social service professionals.
As a Social Work Supervisor and later a Social Work Manager at Setshabelo Family and Child Services, I successfully led teams in delivering social work services. I also played a key role in monitoring and evaluation, policy development, and office management, ensuring efficient service delivery and adherence to best practices.
