Accomplishments

  • Appointed Secretariat of Eskom’s national wood pole management workgroup. The group creates, modifies and prepares all documentation required in the design, construction and maintenance of wooden power transmission towers. As secretary, my responsibilities included planning and setting up meetings, taking minutes of meetings, liaising with document custodians and reporting developments to the group’s chairperson.
  • I have designed and standardized Eskom’s steel warehouse designs, and managed to reduce the overall weight and construction cost of the structures.
  • Led a team in the design and construction of a concrete boat, to compete in the annual inland Concrete Society boat race in 2014.
