I contributed to and achieved the company's quality control and quality assurance standards by:

• Calibrating laboratory equipment before use
• Practicing aseptic techniques
• Using sterile equipment to prepare reagents and media
• Autoclaving media, reagents and small equipment before use
• Safely discarding contaminated media and reagents
• Washing and sterilising glassware.

I enhanced my communication and people skills by tutoring mathematics and life sciences to scholars in high school grades 10-12.

I gained supervisory, leadership, administration and teamwork skills by leading a group of about 30 members. Duties included, but were not limited to:

• Organising and supervising fundraising events for charity
• Encouraging the team to provide volunteer services at an orphanage on two occasions
• Overseeing the year's budget
• Organising team building activities
• Liaising with the organisation's management team and leaders of other branches.
