I am a graduate from the University of the Free State, where I successfully completed a Bcomm Degree in Accounting in 2009, majoring in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Auditing, Financial Management and Taxation. In 2015, I completed an Honours Degree in Management Accounting at the University of the Free State. Moreover, completed a Certificate: Local Government Accounting by AAT (SA) (2011), Advanced Programme in Sourcing and Supply Chain Management with Unisa in 2015. I have completed a Certificate: Municipal Financial Management Programme (CPMD) in 2015. I have completed a Generally Recognised Accounting Practice (GRAP) in Public Services course with the School of Government in 2019. I have completed an MBA (Masters in Business Administration) at the University of the Free State to broaden skills and develop knowledge in the management field.
As the enclosed Curriculum Vitae illustrates, I am currently working for Walter Sisulu Local Municipality as Manager Expenditure responsible for expenditure management, vat returns, journals and reconciliations. Managing salaries of employees, making payments to our creditors’, salary reconciliations, creditors’ reconciliations and dealing with audit enquiries.
I have twelve (12) years of experience in the Finance field, of which, over eight (8) years have been in a middle management position. In line with the experience enunciated above, exposure to these duties and others encapsulated on my CV, helped to acquire more knowledge, and of course experience, in the field of financial management and day to day operations, henceforth, I felt the need to respond to this advertisement.
