Planning and implementation of programmes as per the Social Development events calendar., Partnering and collaborating with relevant stakeholders in addressing socio-economic challenges such as unemployment, substance abuse, crime and gender-based violence., Hosting quarterly programmes under the GEYODI (gender, youth, older persons and people with disabilities) umbrella., Ensuring that the programmes are allocated budget accordingly and the budget is used efficiently and accordingly., Ensuring sustainability of implemented programmes through continuous monitoring and evaluation., Rendering counselling services to individuals, families and groups., Advocating for the rights of women, children, elderly, youth and people with disabilities., Assessing and recommending applicants of indigent burials., Report writing and referral of cases for further management where necessary., Upholding the right to confidentiality and ensuring proper record keeping., Continuous research in the field of practice., Representing the municipality in the different forums., Liaising with other departments and institutions for continued service delivery., Attending stakeholder meetings and events., Creating networks and strategic partnerships with relevant stakeholders., Identifying gaps in relationships and strengthening relationships., Preparation of indigent and pauper burial contract specifications and presenting to the bids committee., Monitoring and evaluation of the indigent and pauper burials contract through the quarterly performance management section (PMS)., Acting in the Assistant Director’s position when requested., Supporting members of the team in their programmes., Conducting indigent burial workshops to the Councillors and community members., Maintaining healthy working relationships and upholding the code of conduct of the organisation and the professional body.
