• Supervise the safe and cost-effective execution of all Metallurgical work as well as execute minor investigative projects for process improvement purposes
• Identify and assess level of continuous risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, and processes
• Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives and minimum requirements)
• Comply with SHEQ requirements
• Utilize the Integrated Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status
• Investigate quality non-conformances and ensure that correct action is taken immediately
• Act as a plant shift supervisor when required to do so
• Process Management, Collect, analyze and interpret process data and make recommendations, project management.

• Conducted scheduled Performance Management Observations (PTO's) and report on system analysis production data
• Co-ordinate the implementation of process changes to ensure the attainment of production targets and to ensure optimum process efficiencies
• Evaluate processes, systems, products and new developments to identify opportunities and deficiencies to ensure continuous improvement
• Control and manages throughput, process efficiency, and product quality and production information integrity
• Assists with the commissioning of major plant or equipment modifications and or upgrades
• Assist with the implementation of new technology without unplanned production interruption according to project schedules
• Assist with the evaluation of process risks to reduce unplanned production stoppages
• Utilize SAP COUPA system to procure spares for plant continuous improvement.

• Investigating the efficiency of the process and identify critical areas for improvement
• Capturing downtime and ensuring improvement on plant performance
• Compile feedback reports and presentations.

• Duties: Preparation of Black Mountain ore for milling
• Sample preparation in mineral processing lab
• Preparation of samples for Scanning Electron Microscope Spectroscopy
• Preparation of sample for X-Ray Florescence Spectroscopy

• Project title: Concept, design, construction (and testing) of an artisanal Portland clinker kiln using local raw materials (Magnetite, Clays, Silica, Limestone, Gypsum and Calcrete)
• Duties: Ore preparation for the clinkering process (crushing, milling, and screening)
• Production of clinker from locally found raw materials
• Preparation of XRD and XRF clinker samples
• Preparation of coal fuel (crushing and sizing) for the clinkering process
• Preparation of raw material and coal samples for CHNOS analysis.
