Engineering Reports & Review:

• Reviewed and assisted in the preparation of geo-technical and design reports, including water storage tank foundation designs, 35m telecom tower foundations, IPP station designs, and gantry structural designs.
• Contributed to the creation of Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for GIS buildings and support service buildings.

Design Analysis & Drawings:

• Produced 3D models and detailed structural design drawings for a water storage tank, 35m telecom tower foundation, cable tray supports, and platform designs.
• Generated bending, bolt, and steel schedules for structural elements such as foundations, sheds, workshops, and warehouses.
• Headed the design and documentation of a GIS building and it’s associated support structures, including control rooms, storage facilities, and repair/maintenance buildings.
• Created detailed designs and schedules for MCC cable tray supports and oxygen receiver warehouses.

Architectural Drawings & 3D Models:

• Developed architectural drawings and 3D models for operations & maintenance buildings and single-storey guardhouses.

Site Exposure:

• Gained valuable on-site experience at major projects, including Astron Refinery, Graafwater Substation BESS, and Paleisheuwel Substation, observing the practical application of engineering designs.
  

Degree Project Title: 17-Storey Residential Building with Underground Parking

For my final degree project, I designed and analyzed a 17-storey residential building with underground parking. The project involved the structural design of the superstructure, including reinforced concrete framing and steel connections, ensuring stability and compliance with building codes. I conducted a geotechnical analysis for the underground parking level to address foundation design challenges, optimizing for soil conditions and load distribution. I used advanced structural modeling tools to refine the design, improve material efficiency, and ensure overall structural integrity. The project also required coordination with architectural and MEP elements to ensure a cohesive design approach.
