- Determine what plant should be isolated/ de-isolated
- Physically isolate/de-isolate plant as per within the guidelines of the plant safety regulations.
- Check that the plant is operated within the license conditions.
- Operate water systems, steam systems, degassers, evaporators and HVAC systems in the Nuclear Island.
- Receive and process waste from the Primary System using degassing column and transfer water for intermediate storage for further processing
- Recover Boric Acid solution and prepare batches of specific concentration for further use in the refueling water system.
- Evaporate and concentrate up nuclear waste for transfer to the drumming plant.
- Use plant schematics in the form of P&ID, process flow diagrams and logic diagrams to operate and troubleshoot complex automated systems.
