Philosophical Instruction I am motivated by my belief in my ability to make a difference in the lives of my students. Teachers are uniquely positioned to instill a passion for learning and an enthusiasm for a subject. This is a big duty for me, and I devote myself to improving my practice so that my courses provide students with the skills and ideals of lifelong learners. My teaching method is based on providing varied learning experiences that pique students' interest and excitement for the subject while also delivering knowledge. A belief in student-centered learning and inquiry particularly impacts my approach. As an educator, I am not only focusing on academics but also the following extra-curricular activities:
∙ Arts and Culture – Arts education helps foster a positive culture and climate in schools
When schools integrate the arts across the curriculum, disciplinary referrals decrease while the effectiveness of instruction and teachers’ ability to meet the needs of all learners increase
I organize beauty pageants for the learners, and it’s helpful as it stimulates their self-esteem, and improves their public speaking
It also boosts their confidence and teaches them to believe in themselves
Athletics - Athletics, at its core, gives opportunities for learning in a way that the typical classroom simply cannot mirror
I believe everyone is looking for something that makes them feel as if they belong
When this spirit spills over into an entire student body, it has been my experience that the overall educational process thrives right along with the team
I have also witnessed over the years that even teams that may not be winning every week are still looked at with a sense of pride by the student body, faculty, and staff that they represent
Athletic teams that represent a school or school district also have an impact on the community
When athletics are successful, the community mostly sees the entire district as successful
SGB SECRETARY - As the Secretary I am responsible for ensuring meetings are effectively organized and minutes, maintaining effective records and administration, communication, and correspondence
Given these responsibilities, As the Secretary I often act as an information and reference point for the Chair and other committee members; clarifying past practices and decisions; confirming legal requirements; and retrieving relevant documentation
Fundraising Committee Chairperson- I Work with fundraising staff to determine the annual development budget; Revise and update the current fund development plan; develop an annual calendar for the committee’s activities, including critical dates, milestones, and required board actions; Tap respective networks for potential donors of money, time, and in-kind support
