In this role, I manage the brand for seven offices across Africa. I have developed a reputation as a creative thinker, capable of delivering high-quality work under pressure and tight deadlines. I work closely with two internal designers and two external designers, providing them with conceptual guidance and creative direction. I report to the Marketing Manager and collaborate closely with both COOs of the company. Additionally, I played a key role in the recent brand refresh, working alongside an advertising agency to establish a cohesive and impactful new identity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely to support various teams across different departments (e.g. Events -collateral, gifting, signage, invites, internal campaigns etc; Communication - social media and brochures, ICT -branding of new apps and HR - graduate recruitment programme gifting and collateral)
  • Spearhead the development of new ideas and concepts for campaigns.
  • Oversee the end-to-end management of campaigns, from brief to design and print.
  • Provide ongoing creative input and direction to designers, ensuring timely delivery of work.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best price and quality for all materials.
  • Source and manage the production of print and branded items, including involvement in the merchandising process. This involves sourcing bespoke items that need to be manufactured and branded specifically for the company.
  • Coordinate the placement of advertising in newspapers, magazines and online platforms e.g. Daily Maverick.
  • Update and maintain the website's backend.
  • Manage photo library of all staff photos and ensure all new starter images are uploaded to all internal communication platforms.
  • Assist with compiling the monthly internal newsletter.
  • Assist in developing signage for new buildings, both interior and exterior.
  • Leveraged Microsoft Clarity to extract web analytics, gaining insights into user behavior and website performance to inform strategic decisions and optimise user experience.
  • Manage the annual marketing budget exceeding R2.5 million.
  • Submit and process invoices weekly, allocate costs to appropriate costs centres (>40 monthly).

  • Led bi-monthly campaigns from creative presentation to store rollout.
