Projects
These are some of the projects I owned at Amazon, from design to deployment.
- Alarm suppression service - Built a system that monitored and identified issues with downstream services that would directly impact our, a tier-0, service. The system also included features such as automating ticketing actions to downstream services and suppressing top-level alarms. The inclusion of the feature drastically reduced the response and remediation times of events that affected our service, and improved team morale as a result.
- Regional Canary - Built a regional canary test system that provisioned required infrastructure in every region the service operated, built out the tests, and monitored and alarmed on anomalies. The system was automated, as such it improved our operational posture. Infrastructure was de-provisioned when not in use so as to save on costs, and spun up again only when needed.
