I hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Management Practice, a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Business Management with elective stream: Operational Risk Management (Cum Laude) and a National Diploma in Chemical Engineering (S4). Currently in the process of completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) through Henley Business School.

  • Responsible for the strategy to be a best-in-class operator having engaged and aligned people and fit for purpose management of change systems to enable performance at South32 (Mozal)
  • Manage the ongoing need to change and adapt the way things are done, so the willingness to adapt and then to manage change effectively is a core capability
  • Establish a consistent change management approach to the management of change and to govern and manage the risks associated with change

  • Manage the change management framework
  • Provide an overview of the process and guide through which of the tools to used when undertaking changes in South32
  • Assess supplier's capability to give assurance that the supplier would be able to honour terms and conditions as specified in the scope
  • This assessment involves the review of various aspects making up the functioning and capability of the supplier
  • Administer the Supplier Capability Assessment process
  • Based on the evaluation (rating scale) a maturity risk is defined
  • Where suppliers have gaps to reach the required level of maturity, a Maturity Action Plan needs to be put in place
  • Maturity Action Plans will be managed between the SPA's and the Contracting Company Owners by means of the Supplier Management Plan
  • Define the scope of work pertaining to contracts
  • Describe the operations and the responsibilities and duties associated with change management projects, pertaining to the contractor
  • Administer all associated management, co-ordination and administration functions, comprising of and related to the operations, described in performing this scope of work
  • Manage the end-to-end process, core components and related performance requirements for the Mozal Contractor Management System of Work

  • Establish controls to manage the risk that will prevent a large vehicle transport accident occurring on public roads that may result in personnel (S32 & Public) being injured or killed

  • Key Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Introduce, review and update all matters pertaining to Risk Management within Group
  • Maintain close liaison with the Barloworld Group Risk Manager, Group Insurance Brokers, Service Suppliers, Local Government and Local Authorities
  • Advise management at all levels regarding the identification and elimination of risks within the Group businesses, the implementation of physical and electronic measures, the compilation of and dissemination of Barloworld Group Risk Control standards, and the planning of environmental, health, safety & access control procedures
  • Liaise with Insurance Brokers on all matters of policy cover and provides advice to Management on all insurance related matters
  • Investigate insurance claims and ensure correct deployment of Brokers and Assessors and submission of documentation to insurers
  • Maintain regular contact with Government Agencies, Local Authorities and Interested and affected parties in respect to compliance, Permits, operating standards, Environmental Authorisations, ROD's
  • Design, plan and implement in-house Risk Management, Health and Safety, Insurance and Corporate Governance presentations
