Performing daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all Card and real-time processing systems being used at the bank.
•Supporting the Postilion payment system production environment and ensuring that adequate testing has taken place before implementing new systems or changes to existing systems.
• Supporting and maintaining other payment-related system platforms and tools like Card association test simulators and reporting tools.
• Querying data from databases using SQL as part of troubleshooting or to provide data requested by Business departments.
• Investigating production-related queries as raised by a business or external parties (Alliance partners, Card associations, Network International, etc)
• Performing application system upgrades, patching, and testing before implementing on Production systems.
• Acting as a Subject matter expert in meetings with other business departments, external clients, and system vendors.
• Assisting in setting up and ensuring that disaster recovery environments for assigned payment systems are available and tested regularly.
• Involved in designing technical specifications for new system implementations and system changes.
• Ensuring that all technical documentation is regularly updated, and new procedures are properly documented.
• Maintaining good working relations/partnerships with internal business stakeholders, payment system vendors, Alliance banking partners, and Card /Processing associations.
• Ensuring that communication channels are established with all internal and external stakeholders.
• Keeping up to date with developments in payment systems
• Contributing to the Payment systems knowledge base
Business Planning/ Decision Making
Provides input for short-term and long-term operational planning in respect of existing and emerging technology and innovations in Payment/transactional systems.
