Serve on the Coal Recovery Team - TFR and Coal Exporting Parties anticipate to turn the TFR low performance on the Coal line around with various initiatives.
Implement Exports via Alternative ports (Non RBCT port) in 2022 - Value R1.8 billion and exported 750 Million ton additional coal.
Implemented Exxaro Belfast mine logistics – All logistics from mine to port. Logistics design, RFQ to implementation. Road transport, rail and siding operations. Value of R 2.5 Billion.
Implemented Belfast Early Coal logistics project with a team from all disciplines to the value of R 180M
Manage South Dunes Coal Terminal as the Chairman of the Operational and Commercial team.
· Chairman of the Southern Africa Shippers, Transport and Logistic Council 2016 and 2017. (Vise Chairman the previous two years)
·Managed the inbound project logistics of the Exxaro Mayoko project for phase 1A in the Republic of the Congo (RoC). Project total value is R 2.4 billion.
·Integrated and Managed the ArcelorMittal Steel SA Rebate Division with an annual rebate payment of R 984 Million. Reduce staff compliment by 40% and re-engineer all the processes to manage the division.
·Ilmenite Shipping Project - Project and Commercial Manager for the movement of ilmenite from Namakwa Sands to KZN Sand to ensure continuous operation of the Empangeni plant while Fairbreeze mine is established. Value R 265 M over 28 months.
·Arnot, transport saving - Commercially negotiated a take out item from a mining contract at Mooifontein operations. Value on contract savings amount to R 20 million per annum.
Grindrod Operating agreement 021 - Provided with a team a review on the agreement and uncovered value of R 10 million per annum to be unlocked. 2nd phase is currently in progress to execute implementation of value unlocking
Supply Chain Management - Designed, negotiated, implemented export logistic chain for Rosh Pinah mine and managed the flow commercially. – Value R 15 million per annum.
Managed the Mittal /Transnet contract to the value of 2.3 Billion Rand per annum and other service supplier contracts in association with the Commercial Manager. (2004)
Re-designed the import logistical supply chain of Mittal consumables. Also recently completed the design for Saldanha Steel and saving of up to 40% will materialize.
· Managed a Key Account position in ArcelorMittal with the number two and five biggest Merchant customers (Trident and Pro Roof) Portfolio value – R 2 500 million per annum.
