• Maintain and handover reliable equipment on maintenance day to the production team, attend daily morning meetings and discuss previous day breakdowns and corrective actions, attend weekly PDCA/SDCA and analyse 5Y's and ABreports loop closures, plan shutdowns and ensure that all spares are stock items

• On site training: Carry out all preventive maintenance jobs and scheduled checks assigned under supervision of artisan, assist artisans on breakdowns and other preventive maintenance work assigned, attend to and solve less complex breakdowns, identify and report immediately potential problems and safety hazards, attend to any other relevant duties assigned by the Manager/Artisan/Maintenance Planner, ensure 5S system and housekeeping up to high standard
• Off site training: Learn trade, practical and theory, as required by merSETA

• Car inspection for defects, delivering cars to the dealerships, loading/unloading cars to the train, sorting cars to be loaded in a truck, wrapping cars for foreign countries protection

* Repair equipment proactively in order to continually improve department efficiency

* Operate process equipment

* Supports the scoping of task for maintains day

* Utilise loss & waste and short interval control to identify problems

* Apply problem solving tools to resolve situational problems

* Apply 5S standards and practices in the workplace

* Operate and control the process according to SOP's, QFR’s and SWI’s

* Participate in and coach autonomous operations
