OASIS 1 77MW/342.26 Mookodi- Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Overhead Lines Project

• Implementing project-specific Quality Management Systems (QMS) aligned with ISO 9001, company standards, and South African regulations.
• Developed and enforced Project Quality Plans (PQP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) across all project phases.
• Conducting on-site inspections for civil works (access gravel road, BESS Platform layerworks, overhead lines constructions, substation civil works) , electrical, mechanical, and BESS works to ensure compliance with approved designs and specifications.
• Overseeing quality of incoming materials and equipment, coordinate with suppliers on quality issues.
• Plan, witness, and document inspections and testing activities, including grounding, insulation, BMS/PCS functionality, and commissioning.
• Manage non-conformances: record NCRs, lead root-cause analysis, and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and closed.
• Maintain comprehensive quality records, including test reports, technical queries, checklists, calibration records, and as-built documentation.
• Support internal/external quality audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
• Assist with project handover, including civil, mechanical completion datapacks, pre-commissioning, and final acceptance processes.

Project Engineering/ Substation Engineering
• Executed substation engineering design and technical planning for Dedisa (Transformer 3 and 4) and Grassridge (Transformer 3) projects, producing engineering plans and drawings aligned with applicable grid codes, legislative requirements, and internal standards.
High Volatage Plant Department
• Executed asset integrity by performing detailed inspections of high-voltage plant (transformers, circuit breakers, isolators), identifying thermal anomalies, corrosion, and mechanical wear and escalating findings to support maintenance prioritization.
• Executed safe high-voltage operations by assisting with switching activities, including tagging and isolation of equipment and participation in scheduled preventive maintenance in line with operating procedures.
• Applied engineering theory during testing and commissioning activities for circuit breakers on the Grassridge 132 kV Refurbishment Project, supporting readiness for return to service and documenting outcomes for technical records.

• Oversaw construction of a gravity main pipeline construction (1.3 km, Ø710mm)- Survey and Alignment Monitoring; Excavation and Bedding Inspection; Pipe Laying and Joining; Pipe jacking; Testing and Inspection; Manhole Construction; Commissioning and Startup; Structural and Civil Oversight.
• Oversaw construction of Pumpstations-Wet Well Installation; Mechanical/Electrical Component Installation; Supervised day-to-day construction activities for gravity sewer mains and pumpstations, ensuring compliance with design drawings, specifications, and regulatory standards.
• General Site Supervision and Quality Control- Material Approval; Request for Inspections (RFIs); Site Safety Compliance; Non-Conformance Management.
• Administrative and Reporting Duties- Quantity Verification and Payment; GCC Contracts implementation with the Contractor; Maintained detailed site records, progress reports, and as-built documentation excavations, trenching, pipe laying, pipe jacking, bedding, backfilling and manhole construction to ensure installation and structural integrity.
