I am a PhD candidate in Biochemistry at the University of Johannesburg, specializing in in silico drug discovery. My research focuses on identifying novel antiviral compounds against COVID-19 by integrating machine learning techniques with the study of traditional medicinal plants. I posess strong skills in machine learning, cheminformatics, and data analysis, which support my ability to analyze complex biological datasets and predict therapeutic potentials. In addition to my academic research, I have over three years of hands-on experience as a laboratory demonstrator and currently serve as a Practical lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry. This role has enhanced my teaching, mentoring, and scientific communication skills. I am passionate about bridging computational biology and experimental science to contribute to real-world solutions in global health.
