Occupational Health, Safety and Environment

• Facilitates the improvement of safety performance in the business unit by following and monitoring the implementation of unit safety policy, processes, procedures and guidelines
• Provides expertise and support to the business unit on matters affecting safety
• Performs safety inspections/ audits to verify compliance and identify deviations and uncontrolled risks affecting safety
• Operates the accident & near miss incident investigation process, completes or verifies accident and investigation reports in co-operation with line management and technical specialists
• Supports line management and technical specialists in defining and implementing corrective and preventive actions from audits and investigation findings
• Monitors the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions
• Monitors safety auditing process and regular workplace visits under the direction off the unit Safety Manager
• Assists line management in workplace safety audits
• Shares safety related information throughout the business unit, including investigation outcomes and best practices
• Supports and contributes to the activities of the safety committee in their unit
• Interacts with external stakeholders (i.e
• Clients and authorities) in matters affecting safety, under direction from the Safety manager
• Develops and maintains his/her own competences as safety specialist in co-operation with Safety manager
• Supports the development of safety competences of others
• Uses the Employee survey results as a source of information for improvement of safety

Quality Control and Assurance

• Perform quality analysis and inspections, for example data analysis, benchmark testing, localization
• Evaluate components, and other inputs to the production process and liaise with external vendors and suppliers to ensure that their products meet the organization’s quality standards
• Maintain and analyse quality records to prepare regular and ad hoc reports; check that established testing procedures are being followed; identify and address recurring problems either with the quality of the product or the reliability of testing procedures
• Educate and train quality assurance inspectors and other staff to ensure that they understand and comply with established quality procedures and standards
• Is responsible for leading Quality Improvement team and Corrective action system in her area
• Identify needs of improvement areas and initiate corrective action

• Inspect all installed products for quality defects
• Ensure a safe workplace environment without risk to health of employees
• Ensure that all health and safety policies, procedures, rules & regulations are adhered to and communicated
• Ensure completion & regular review of risk assessments for work equipment and operations
• Ensure that accidents/ incidents are documented, investigated & recommended improvements implemented
• Ensure that safety inspections are carried out, fire drills & fire alarms are correctly reported, safety inspections, risk assessments & lone working procedures are managed, and employees are aware of their responsibilities
• Ensure health and safety & training records are updated as per the legal requirements
• Update documented health and safety inspections, audits and checks
• Liaise with HR/ External health and safety consultants in the provision of training programs and health and safety services
• Co-ordinate and Chair the health and safety meetings
• Ensure that action plans are developed and actioned within the deadlines
• Keep up to date with all aspects of relevant OHSE legislation & Communicate relevant changes to the company
• Provide regular reports to Site
• Management on health and safety activities

• Clerk Of drawings (the receiving and filling of site drawings, drawing transmittal)
• Making and keeping of all administration records e.g
• Material requisition, material transfer, receiving of material, purchase orders and Stocktakes
• Clock sheets
• Involved in health and safety procedures such as toolbox talks, inductions, attending safety committee meetings, worked with safety files & Quality assurance
• Ensuring that all SHEQ documents are filed
• Conduct quality checks on site
• Conduct safety inspection on site
• Ensure health and safety training records are updated
• Complete safety officers’ reports
• Create Purchase requisition
