In this role, I represented students, participated in governance processes, and worked with university structures to support student wellbeing and address student concerns. I also served on the SRC Vac Committee and Deployments Committee, where I gained experience in coordinating vacation accommodation processes, supporting student needs during breaks, and contributing to organisational and governance activities.

Contributed to reviewing and debating proposals affecting student life, and supported the development of recommendations aimed at improving the student experience. Engaged with students to gather feedback and ensure their perspectives were reflected in decision-making processes. Collaborated with fellow student representatives and university stakeholders to promote accountability, transparency, and effective student representation.

Served as Secretary General of the Residence Council, responsible for overseeing administrative coordination and ensuring effective communication within the council. Managed meeting agendas, recorded and distributed accurate minutes, and maintained official records of council proceedings. Supported the planning and execution of residence initiatives aimed at improving student life and fostering community engagement. Assisted in coordinating communication between residence leadership, subcommittees, and residents to ensure information was clearly and consistently shared. Contributed to decision-making processes by ensuring structured documentation and follow-up on council resolutions. Played a key role in maintaining organisational efficiency, accountability, and continuity within residence governance structures.

Served as Head Student in a university residence, acting as the primary student leader and representative for residents. Provided leadership within the residence community by promoting a positive, inclusive, and respectful living environment. Represented student concerns to residence management and facilitated communication between residents and residence staff. Supported the coordination and implementation of residence events, initiatives, and community-building activities. Assisted in upholding residence policies and standards, while encouraging student engagement and participation in residence life. Worked closely with residence leadership structures and student committees to address issues, resolve conflicts, and enhance the overall student experience within the residence.

Served as Health and Safety Officer in a university residence, responsible for promoting and maintaining safe living conditions for all residents. Conducted regular safety checks and inspections of residence facilities to identify and report potential hazards or maintenance issues. Ensured compliance with residence health, safety, and emergency protocols, including fire safety procedures and evacuation readiness. Assisted in educating residents on safety practices and awareness, contributing to a safer community environment. Worked closely with residence leadership and university safety structures to address risks promptly and implement corrective actions where necessary. Played a key role in fostering a culture of responsibility, preparedness, and well-being within the residence.
