A key milestone in my career was the opportunity to become a shareholder in Moco Steel, a well-established fabrication and engineering company based in Secunda. This role allowed me to contribute strategically to the company’s growth and operational excellence. One of my most significant achievements was leading the successful implementation and certification of ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety), and ISO 3834 (Welding & Fabrication Standards). These certifications elevated Moco Steel’s standing in the industry, enhancing both its credibility and competitiveness in high-standard engineering environments.

Coded Welder – Pressure Equipment & High-Integrity Welds
Experienced Coded Welder skilled in high-pressure and critical integrity welds, with expertise in welding processes such as SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and GMAW. Proficient in welding ASME VIII;B31.1/B31.3;API 650 piping systems, pressure vessels,Tanks and critical services like high-pressure steam, sour service lines, and process plant piping. Strong background in interpreting technical drawings, ensuring NDT acceptance criteria, and completing X-ray-quality welds. Over 20 years of experience supervising and coordinating multidisciplinary welding teams, ensuring the timely and high-quality completion of welding projects. Managed daily work plans, welding assignments, and material handling while enforcing safety protocols and compliance with permit-to-work systems. Oversaw weld tracking, joint preparation, and documentation to ensure full compliance with project specifications and standards. Contributed to major capital projects in oil refineries, petrochemical plants, and power facilities, meeting tight deadlines and delivering under high-pressure conditions.

Pressure Vessel, Tank & Piping Inspection Professional
A highly experienced and detail-oriented Inspection Professional with extensive expertise in pressure vessel, storage tank, and pressure piping inspections.
