Alhamdulillah, we established and continue to teach in a maktab for the less fortunate, in an area where there had never been a maktab before, despite the great need.

• Alhamdulillah, we supervised 16 masajid and musallahs in impoverished areas, and appointed imams to serve those communities. Together with my co-worker, my duties included holding parents' meetings, resolving community issues, and supervising the Imams in the different areas.

Alhamdulillah, through our combined efforts, the maktab grew from zero to over 120 students, making it the largest maktab in Port Elizabeth. In addition, special workshops were introduced for the Asatidhah to ensure better quality of education for the students,including weekly tajweed & tarbiyah classes.
