General duties:
Open shop every day and ensure that all safety procedures are met during a daily walkabout
Daily lock-up and alarm activation
Do daily price checks and do corrections when required
Assist and resolve customer queries
Stand -in for Regional manager when required
Upkeep of back up stock
Stock Management:
Ensure stock is accurately received physically and on the system, and unpacked for pricing and display on the sales floor
Monitor and manage stock levels through defined processes which includes,sectional stock counts, stock takes, stock loss and action plans to mitigate risks
Oversee the overall maintenance of the stock room to meet housekeeping standards
Administration:
Administration of old stock write off and stock transfers
Check receipt invoices against orders and send through GRV
Follow up on GRV cycle
Issuing of purchase orders
Handle transfer request
Weekly filing, creating, updating and maintaining records and databases
Receive suppliers and ensure that airlock system is maintained at all times
Surprise visits to other branches for filing and sectional stocktakes to assist in assisting Area Manager on weekends, Public holidays and while on leave.
Compile weekly Targets for branches including implementing Incentives to motivate both Managers and Sales Team
People Management:
Responsible for building optimally functioning, high performance teams through the relevant, approved people plan for operations
Cultivate an ethos in each branch where small things are celebrated and contributing to building a healthy working environment • Support and motivate team members
Ensure disciplinary processes are applied fairly and equitably
Point of reference for personal issues
Facilitate daily start-up meetings via Zoom according to the prescribed agenda and commitment expectations for the region
Responsible for effective leave planning for managers including making arrangement for relieve managers availability
Ensure that branch housekeeping is done according to standards during store visits to each branch
Ensure that all employees adhere to the specified dress code
Leadership:
Cultivate an effective working environment to foster commitment, by actively supporting branch staff in delivering their tasks. This entails ensuring own knowledge, skills and competencies in the execution of the branch activities remain up to date and relevant
Determine staff training needs and highlighting training deficiencies through access their weekly performance and discussions held with manager to advise on where assistant is needed in the store
Performance Management:
Equip staff by providing on the-the-job-training, coaching and regular performance feedback
Ensure all new managers employed feel welcome and receive quality on board support
Induction and orientation of staff
Servicing clients 50% of the time during store visits
Contributing to the branch sales targets through implementing branch promotions and mall displays to assist branches achieve sales Targets
Monitor and drive time to service and time of service to deliver unique client experience by making random courtesy calls to clients while in branch.
Efficiency:
Ensure that all employees understand the business objectives through providing regular communication with regards to progress against objectives and HQ communications or concerns
Monitor profitability and implement plans for improvement
Monitor and control expense according to budget and per branch P&L
Facilitate the effective implementation of policies and procedures
Act on audit problem highlighted by auditors during store visits and implement corrective action
Ensure that all equipment in the branch are always fully operational
Support with operational effectiveness
Ensure client service standards are met and upheld by evaluating the stores complaints log
Deal effectively with client complaints when queries are not resolved or escalated
Actively support the Branch Manager with improvement initiatives/actions and provide input into coaching opportunities
Co-ordinate and monitor in branch risk and process compliance • Branch related procedures and audits
Sales:
Responsible for ensuring monthly targets are reached and assist with discounts where possible (considering Gross Profit) and to close deals on the floor
Providing of authorization codes to managers for discounts approvals and collection off the floor
Maintain their own and the branch management sales proficiency by serving clients
Identify sales opportunities and co-ordinate sales activities as per procedure
Continuously analyze competitors in terms of price, products, procedures and positioning
Submit marketing proposals to the marketing department and suggested Mark downs in the region
Continuously measure results and provide feedback to Operational manager and marketing department on marketing initiatives and price
Responsible for implementing the service efficiency head office process according to HQ process guidelines
Build service planning knowledge and commitment through active participation to build a sense of trust and understanding
Create a culture of service excellence in the region
General Duties:
Opening and Closing of the Store
Weekly Alarm Test
Morning Coffee meetings to discuss sales, fieldwork and credit accounts.
Daily discussions with Finance Service department regarding credit accounts, arrears and accounts awaiting deposits for approval.
Field Work with Freelancer on weekly basis to encourage and assist in the field.
Achieving monthly branch target
Cash Management:
Preparation, co-ordination and handing out of float to cashiers in the branch
Daily Banking checklist with Financial Service Manager
Consolidation of previous night’s cash up
Prepare paperwork as per financial process
Be prepared for SBV/Fidelity collection
Assist cashiers with cash drops
Allocate change as per requests
Cash up at the end of every shift
Correction of cashier mistakes with consent from Retail Manager
Responsible for ensuring staff service proficiency in offering credit
Maintain their own and the branch management credit sales proficiency by serving clients
Arrears:
Compile starter pack from knowledge of payslips and bank statements relevant to the branch
Use starter pack to organize where possible practice sessions to minimize repeat errors and build confidence in sales consultants
Conduct first payment default analysis and monthly arrears follow up with the view to identify employer trends that are forwarded to central credit team as a potential risk event
Ensure monthly credit e-learning is completed by all branch staff by the communicated submission date
Stock:
Responsible for stock over the value of 3,8 million
Minimizing stock loses by conducting stocktakes

Pricing of stock including receiving of GRVs
Team work •

Actively participate as a member of the team
