  • Currently managing the school with an enrolment of 1617 learners from Grade R to Grade 12, inclusive of a collective total of 95 staff members encompassing educators, admin interns and facilities staff.
  • Managing the school as a business and ensuring profitability and sustenance. Brand management is fundamental for corporate identity and the creation of a conducive, competitive yet collaborative environment for teaching and learning.
  • Achievements: transformation of the school, increased retention of learners and reducing the debtors' book while achieving a 100% Matric pass rate for the class of 2021 despite the setbacks experienced during the 2020/2021 difficult years ravaged by COVID 19 restrictions. Exemplary work ethic, a sense of responsibility, accountability and uprooting mediocrity.
  • Established a culture of continuous improvement by promoting best practices in project management, process optimization, and risk mitigation.

  • Managing the school as a business and ensuring profitability and sustenance. Brand management is fundamental for corporate identity and the creation of a conducive, competitive yet collaborative environment for teaching and learning.
  • Achievements: courage and resilience to have successfully marketed the school, recruited staff and management, setup and opened the school in 2018 and has continued to strategically grow the school form 135 learners to 356 in two years considering the difficult environment and circumstances of our operation and location. Hard work ethic and leading by example, a sense of responsibility, accountability and focus.
  • Heightened stakeholder engagement with business manager, regional accountant, EXCO board members, budgeting and managing finances.
  • Continuous engagement in strategic partnerships with care for Education and LEGO and now as Ambassador for the pedagogy of play; relations with the British Council as facilitator of the Connecting Classrooms partnership exchange; collaboration with MAMS FM -radio station; Professor Leketi - language specialist at WITS in collaboration with Professor Coady at Florida University.

  • Duties included the mandatory professional management and leadership of the school. Manage curriculum and resources; promote good governance of the institution; safeguard quality of teaching and learning; provide professional support including staff development, mentoring and appraisal and interact with various stakeholders.
  • I served on recruitment, promotion, advisory and other committees as required and played an active role in promoting extra and co-curricular activities in the school.
  • Provision of strategic direction and guidance to the management including encouraging excellence and life-long learning.
  • Teambuilding, inspirational leadership and mentoring were also required.
  • Achievements: established excellence as a norm and forged unity amongst staff members. Engaged in partnerships that added value to the quality of education delivered. Was awarded a bursary by the US Embassy to study Professional Writing for Teachers at the University of Maryland in the USA. Opened the first robotics centre in the township; was selected for an exchange programme with Denmark; assisted GDE in rolling out play based learning; was invited as presenter for the UNICEF conference in SA -2017; the Play conference in Denmark -2018 and the Play conference in SA -2019. Hosted various projects and events for GDE and was awarded for Excellence in Primary School Leadership in 2017 under the auspices of the National Teachers Awards.
