I can handle a tough workload and have an ability to prioritise my workload. While working as an Admin Clerk at Aurora Primary School, I was required to work under pressure while having to multitask and produce quality work, and I did so successfully. I am a team player and I typically get along with my coworkers. I have developed demonstrable administrative skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. I have also been trained to work in store environment, gaining the skills of Sales, Stock Taking, Customer Services and Organising.
I am responsible for making sure the children's homework is completed for that day. I also help to prepare them for any tests and/or exams.
I am also responsible to help them complete any school projects.
I managed the shop in the mornings. I was responsible for sorting out new stock and flowers. I helped prepare the flowers i.e.: cutting the stems, striping the leaves and placing them in buckets of water.
I was also responsible for sales of flowers and taking of orders from customers that wanted to make something special.
I also helped with the making of flower arrangements.
I also helped display new stock such as baskets, chocolates and potted plants.
When necessary, I also cleaned the buckets and store.
This was a US based company that I worked online for at home.
I was responsible for contacting any US Universities through email and advertise the company's different internships that the students might be interested in.
I was also responsible for creating spreadsheets on Google Sheets with the different universities that the company was interested in or had interns with.
I worked alongside the deputy headmistress and remedial teacher Mrs Sue Pistorius. While working with her, my duties included updating student profiles, processing the school fees, and assisting with school admissions. I eventually worked my way to managing to school’s photocopying room and was responsible for making copies of all the teaching notes and administrative documents. I was also in charge of recording the children’s marks on the school’s computers for their reports.
I worked alongside the Remedial teacher in helping Grade 1 – 3 students that were struggling academically, specifically in Mathematics and English. I also helped children that were struggling with reading in Grade 1- 3.
For the first 6 months at Aurora Primary School, I worked as a Grade 3 Intern. My responsibilities were to help manage the class and assist the teacher with her reading groups.
I left this position in June of 2018 when the Remedial intern position became available.
As a private tutor, I worked from home and offered homework classes for students. I would assist them in completing homework tasks and learning for assessments. I also offered private lessons in History, Mathematics and English for those who needed. I worked with students aged 7 to 13.
At the end of 2017, I was offered and accepted the Grade 3 Internship post at Aurora Primary School.
I was the personal assistant for the Grade R Teacher at St. Andrew’s School Welkom. At that time, Mrs. Cathy Scruse was the grade R teacher and served as my mentor. My responsibilities included assisting the teacher during the lessons, helping the learners complete their activities, as well as supervising the children during break time.
In 2015 I pursued the opportunity to work as a private tutor.
