  • As the Project Manager I was responsible to identify potentially new business stores; initiate the opening of the store and oversee the preparing of the store, merchandising and opening of the store
  • Assist with the marketing and advertising
  • Achievement: In my first month of employment, I only had 1 month to open a new store
  • The new store building was dilapidated with no electricity
  • The entire building had to be renovated with regards to repairing broken walls, trenches in the floor, painting etc
  • At the end of the month the store was ready as per the project plan
  • The work entailed was – plastering, painting, erecting of partition and shelves, identifying internet service provider and do the installation, setup of the POS points; oversee the installation of the signage on the building, ensure the electricity was installed and connected
  • Oversee the opening of the store on the opening day
  • During the first month I also managed to prepare part of the building for the warehouse
  • At that time the stock was stored at 3 locations
  • I successfully transferred all the stock to the new warehouse before the opening of the new store as per the project plan
  • The opening was a huge success
  • Other Achievements: Relocated the head office from one of the store to the new building
  • This included the preparing the new office – painting, installing more electric points, installation of CCTV
  • Moved the office equipment, desks and computers to the new building
  • Also setup all of the office computers and connect to the server
  • Successfully opened 7 other stores as per the project plans
