A very result driven Projects Manager with a proven track record of a combined 16 years' experience within the (Safety, Health, Environment Risk & Quality and Projects Management, GIS) environment under the Department of Forestry, Fisheries and The Environment (Natural Resources Management-Working for Water). Eight years' experience as a Natural Resources Projects Manager/SHEQ Manager. Eight years spent in the Projects Management environment, tasked with the coordination and implementation of safety, health, environmental, risk management, quality management systems. Responsible for enforcing and interpret environmental laws and ensure that working for water EPWP project contractors fully comply with the working for water SHERQ policy and South African legal frameworks such as environmental legislations. Ensuring the safe use of HCS by adhering to HCA regulations, ensuring ISO14001, ISO 9001 & ISO 45001 standards are being adhered to. Ensure legal compliance by developing legal registers, environmental management plans and risk plans/registers. Conducting infield audits to ensure compliance with environmental legislations e.g. NEMB Act 10 of 2004, NEM Act 107 OF 1998, National Water Act 36 of 1998 & Waste (Act 59 of 2008). Conducting incident investigations and ensuring that non-conformities are addressed. Identifying potential hazards through conducting risk assessments to minimize workplace injuries and conducting environmental impact assessment to reduce environmental incidents. Provide induction training to all project personnel and coordinating other relevant health and safety trainings. Ensuring all legal appointments are in place and ensuring all projects participate undergo pre and exit medical screening-surveillance.
