

An acting senior manager in ICT Infrastructure, responsible for the Unix and Microsoft hardware, database, telephone systems, datacentre, and network. I have been in the ICT industry for more than 15 years, building my career from technician to manager.
I have learned the full value chain of the ICT industry, got to understand the gap that most ICT departments lack (administration, people skills, and reporting) and I have taught myself to balance between the technical and the soft skills.
• I ensure that all Infrastructure implementation for the university supports are secure, reliable, cost-effective, and fit for purpose
• Develop and maintain a documented road map for the infrastructure products that will support the university's digital strategy.
• Work closed with suppliers and 3rd parties to ensure IT industry best practice is followed to deliver solutions efficiently and effectively
• Contribute to the business cases for technology investments
• Develop and maintain processes for tracking of maintenance and support contract product licensing and budgetary expectations for the following financial year.
• Engage in the critical projects of the University as and when required
• Responsible for Technical Strategy and Planning, Operational Management, Management of information system acquisition, Information system security, and risk management.
