With a 7th Dan in Taekwondo and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering, I bring a unique blend of skills and experiences to the table. As a Taekwondo grandmaster, community activist, war veteran, philosopher, and author, my goal is to leverage my extensive background to contribute effectively to society and elevate the status of Taekwondo in southern Africa. I have established myself as a prominent figure in the field of social sciences, particularly in the realm of Taekwondo and Krav Maga as self-defense systems.

• 12/01/98, Award for Exceptional Safety Contribution, Background: While employed by Eskom, the nominee Lenord e. Le Hanie demonstrated extraordinary courage and competence during a critical emergency on the R716 and R82 junction in Viljoensdrif. Witnessing a severe car accident involving a sedan vehicle, the nominee: Administered first aid to a critically injured woman who sustained severe head and bodily injuries. Demonstrated exceptional composure and leadership by securing the accident scene, preventing further harm to onlookers and motorists. Applied extensive first aid knowledge, earning praise for his calm, methodical actions under extreme pressure. Led efforts to mitigate danger while the victim’s vehicle was on fire, showcasing resourcefulness and quick decision-making. Although the injured woman tragically passed away en route to a hospital, the nominee’s heroic efforts were widely acknowledged. The nomination for this award was submitted by Mr. Albert Viljoen (RIP), a senior Eskom employee, who was deeply impressed by the nominee's professionalism and bravery based on eyewitness accounts.
